Ocho Mexico Drops New Single

Written by on December 6, 2021

Ocho Mexico stays ten toes down in the music industry, and it shines through his records.

Having been in the rap game since 2016, Ocho Mexico speaks about his progression thus far. He also gives a piece of himself within each release. Moreover, the musician denotes his loyal and protective nature. Not only does he stay true to his loved ones, but himself. Should someone talk sideways, he will put them in their place respectfully. Given the context at hand, it’s more than apparent that he doesn’t bite his tongue.

Sonically, he leans on highly energetic instrumentals with a heavy hip-hop influence. The musician goes a melodic route when he isn’t rapping with a storytelling cadence. He’s influenced by 2Pac, Eminem, Ye, and Lil Wayne.

Because of his authenticity, he’s destined to have a longstanding career. So you can tell that he’s not making music for clout. But, rather, it’s his passion. This specific line from his song “Multiple Ties” even speaks volumes. He raps, “My word is prophecy/i’m manifesting my vision.”

Because he has an entrepreneur mentality, he also launched his record label “Goatcho Entertainment.” His first three artists are DJ Ave, Nina Love, and Trellski Hall of Fame

Ocho Mexico’s newest single, “Mardi Gras,” has gained serious traction. The Mardi Gras music video is now out on YouTube with over 20,000 views and counting in the first ten days.

When asked about Mardi Gras and his recent success, he stated, “I’m just excited about what is to come. It’s the first release for Urban Grind TV partnered with Universal/Ingrooves.”

In a word, “Mardi Gras” promotes the need for enjoyable moments. It also serves as a forewarning to haters. The charged-up drill-esque beat is led by several percussions.

On “Mardi Gras,” Ocho Mexico advises others not to get on his bad side. Additionally, he takes time to admire a woman’s body, insisting that she show it off. Then, Ocho Mexico speaks on the song’s popularity while dropping more warning bars.

“This sh*t real hot/Lookin’ number one on Tik-Tok,” he raps. “Jump up, get back, don’t nobody really wanna get shot/Get popped, get dropped.”

As the song continues, he drops braggadocious rhymes, declaring that he’s unstoppable. Elsewhere, he speaks about women being at his beck and call. He finishes off by saying no one can spook him.

Using a bouncy flow, he raps, “Can’t nobody see me on the beat/in the club/on the floor/On the roof/in the sheets/In the booth.”

“Mardi Gras” comes right after “Spit on It” and “Multiple Ties.” The music video finds Ocho Mexico and his crew riding out in true Carnival fashion. The theme takes inspiration from the song title.
